—  The problem

Check your last broadcast

Open your email platform and look at the last promotion you sent. If about one in five people opened it, that was a normal day.

Now look at everyone who didn’t. That’s most of your list, and most of the money you spent to build it.

Here is a simple example. You have 20,000 people on your list and 20% open. 4,000 people saw your promotion and it made $30,000. The other 16,000 never knew it happened.

4,000 saw it

16,000 never saw it

You already paid to get those 16,000 people. Sending them more email won’t fix it, because email is the thing they ignore. They are the other 80, and they are who we mail.

Your postcard

Nobody can switch it off

There is no ad account to suspend, no algorithm change, no policy reviewer. You own the list and you own the channel.

Costs stay put

Click prices climb every year. Postage barely moves.

You can test small

A thousand cards is enough to know whether it works, before you spend real money.

If your marketing is profitable and only 20% of people open your emails, imagine what would happen if the other 80% saw your offer.

—  How it works

Nine steps from email list to money in the mailbox

There is no trick here. This is the full process, so you can see exactly what you are paying for.

1

Pull the right segment.

We export the opt-ins and low-ticket buyers who never bought your main offer. Current customers and refunds come out.

2

Clean the list.

Every email runs through a verification service. Duplicates, dead addresses and junk sign-ups get removed.

3

Find the mailing addresses.

A reverse append matches each email to a name and a home address. Not everyone matches. You see the exact match count before a dollar goes to print.

4

Verify every address.

Addresses are standardized and checked against the Postal Service’s change-of-address file, so cards don’t go to people who moved.

5

Write the postcard.

The card has one job: get them to take the next step. We start from your best-performing email or ad. Headline, subhead, three or four bullets, a deadline, one call to action.

6

Build the tracking.

Each campaign gets its own QR code and web address. The landing page matches the card and hands people straight into your existing funnel. Every code gets tested before printing.

7

Mail a test of 1,000.

Then we read the numbers: scans, opt-ins, sales. We want a clear win or a clear miss, because both tell us what to do next.

8

Follow up.

People who scanned and didn’t buy get a second card. People who didn’t scan get a different angle.

9

Automate it.

Once it works, every new lead who doesn’t buy within a set number of days gets mailed automatically. It runs without you.

None of this is secret, and you could do all nine steps yourself. It takes five or six vendors, a few weeks of setup, and someone on your team to own it. Most teams don’t have that person. That is the job I do.

—  Fit

This works if you already have three things

A fit

A list.

At least 5,000 US contacts, mostly consumers or solo business owners.

An offer that already sells.

A main offer at $500 or more, or a low-ticket front end with a back end that converts.

A funnel that works.

A webinar, a video sales letter, a booking page. The postcard feeds it. We don’t rebuild it.

It also fits B2B service firms that sell to owners of small companies, where the mail lands on the decision maker’s desk.

Not a fit

It is not a fit if you are launching something untested, you don’t have a list yet, or you run a local storefront business.

If I don’t think your numbers can work, I will tell you on the call and we won’t go further.

Orange County, California

I’m Grayson Carter.

Since 2015, I’ve used SEO, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube ads to grow my business and my clients’ businesses.

No matter what platform I picked it felt like a constant cat-and-mouse game. I’ve chased the SEO ranking algorithm updates, appealed banned ad accounts, wrestled skyrocketing click costs and fended off competitors copying my best funnels.

I held my breath every morning, afraid to open my laptop to see another ad account shut down.

Say what you want about the post office, but it’s about as steady as marketing gets. Postage rises a little and on a schedule you can plan around. Meanwhile, clicks on Facebook, Instagram and Google can cost $10, $20, even $100 each.

And instead of fighting for attention in an inbox stuffed with dozens of other emails, you quietly drop a short note in your prospect’s mailbox. They read it. It makes them a great offer. It brings them back into your funnel, and they buy.

It’s not rocket science. But there are a handful of gotchas that can quietly sink a campaign if you don’t know where they are.

If you’d like me to take all of it off your plate, let’s talk.

—  Questions

Questions

Can I legally mail people who only gave me their email?

In the US, yes. Postal mail to your own leads and customers doesn’t need a separate opt-in the way email and text do. We honor every do-not-mail request and make sure your privacy policy covers it. (Have your attorney confirm this wording for your business.)

How many of my contacts will you find addresses for?

It depends on what you collected. Name plus email matches far better than email alone. You get the real number for your list before paying for any printing.

How long until I see results?

The first cards land about three to four weeks after we start. Most responses come within two weeks of delivery.

What does it cost beyond the $7,500?

Print and postage, billed at cost with no markup. A 1,000-card test is about $750 to $1,000.

Do I need to change my funnel?

No. The card sends people into what already works. We add one landing page that matches the card.

Will the postcard look like my brand?

Sometimes. Plain cards that look nothing like advertising often beat polished ones, so we test it. Nothing mails without your approval.

What if the first mailing flops?

Then we learned something for the price of a small test. We change the segment, the message or the card and mail again. That is what the flat fee is for.

—  Next step

Find out what your other 80% is worth

Book a 30-minute call. Bring three numbers: your list size, your average open rate, and what your best promotion made. We will do the math together, live.

If the numbers say mail can pay for itself, I will show you the plan. If they don’t, I will tell you that too.
